  1. Is it any wonder we feel overwhelmed when confronted with so many momentous things – like climate change, famine and civil strife – which seem completely beyond our control? When confronted by this situation, I try to remember that in a beach composed of untold millions of grains of sand and collectively may be miles long, each tiny particle has the capacity for independant movement…

    1. indeed, no wonder at all– it is probably more of a wonder to *not* be overwhelmed! I like your grain-of-sand imagery 🙂
